Join the Educate78 Teacher Advisory Group

We believe only educators can tell us how to invest wisely to achieve our vision of making Oakland the best city for educators.

In 2016, the Educate78 inaugural Teacher Advisory Group launched a series of initiatives to improve teacher retention and make Oakland an even better place for teachers. This included a teacher retention grant program and a citywide teacher engagement surveyIn 2017-18, the Educate78 Teacher Advisory Group will deepen their work and reach across Oakland to elevate conversations and solutions to improve teacher retention in Oakland. Oakland has committed, talented educators with the power to shape our children’s and our city’s future. They need supportive conditions and sufficient investments in order to do so.We have limited spaces available to add new teacher leaders to our group to help drive this critical work and vision forward for Oakland educators and students.
